We would be glad to welcome you to The Vines Church and hope that you will visit us soon.
The people at The Vines come from varied backgrounds but they share a common message of power and purpose.
All of us are at different stages in our journey with God and some may be “just looking” at what Christianity could mean for them.
We don’t have all of the answers to life’s problems but we have discovered that God loves us and that we belong to Him and each other.
Whoever you are you are assured a very warm welcome at The Vines Church Rochester
For those with disabilities:
We aim to be an all-inclusive church. We have reserved parking spaces near the entrance and a fixed loop system in our main meeting area. We also have a portable loop sytem for use in other areas.
Our premises are fully accessible to those with disabilities, and include a toilet for the disabled.
What to wear:
Wear whatever you feel comfortable in. We are an informal church and accept people as they are. Whether you come in your Sunday best, wearing a hat or jeans and a t-shirt that is fine with us.
What to expect:
For some people going anywhere for the first time can be a bit of a nerve-racking experience. To help avoid any worries here's a quick summary of what you can expect at The Vines. First of all we aren't super-spiritual beings, we all had a 'first day' at church, and you'll find we are a friendly bunch. If you don't understand something please simply ask.
We start our meeting at 10.30am with a time of worship. Our worship time consists of modern songs and anyone can contribute both with Bible verses and words of encouragement. Everyone participates in the worship but at around 11am the youth go to their own groups, we also run a crèche for the little ones. We then have a talk from the Bible that is relevant and meaningful to our modern lives. We finish our meeting around midday, with tea and coffee. Our aim is that whether you are just looking into Christianity for the first time or have been a Christian for many years that you should be encouraged and inspired by the morning. We hope that everyone will draw closer to God.
